HIGH SIERRA POOLS, INC. is seeking a POOL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN for our indoor commercial pool maintenance in the Boston, MA metropolitan area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aquatics professional to learn and grow with the industry leader in commercial pool management. Qualified applicants will possess:
- Knowledge and experience (2+ years) with pool maintenance.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- A valid driver’s license.
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid, CPR-AED for Lifeguards and Bloodborne Pathogens Training certificates (preferred); Current National Pool and Spa Foundation Pool Operator Certification; Current County or locality pool operator certifications as required.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performs diversified duties to maintain aquatic facility equipment
- Performs minor repairs and equipment troubleshooting on an as-needed basis, upon approval from the client and the Division Manager
- Serves as the communication link between on-site management, the division manager, and the central office as needed.
- Maintains general pool systems: pool and spa heating systems (gas, electric), automation and controllers, chemical feeders, saline chlorine generators, and cleaning systems.
- Conducts regular safety checks and routine inspections of facilities and staff, including completing inspection reports per company guidelines.
- Basic repairs and maintenance of general pool and spa equipment covers, pool stairs, diving equipment, slides, automatic water-leveling equipment, and safety equipment such as ADA lifts and suction entrapment avoidance equipment.
- Provides timely information to the Division Manager regarding faulty equipment or if a safety hazard exists.
- Responsible for performing inspection reports and other required paperwork within established deadlines.
- Responds to emergencies as required.
- Responsible for remaining rescue-ready at all times and performing or training professional rescuer duties as needed, remaining current in all skills.
- Performs all duties of a professional pool and spa operator, including but not limited to maintaining proper water balance, sanitation, pool safety, cleanliness, and preventative pool equipment maintenance.
- Resolves concerns or complaints from clients, employees, and others in a timely manner and according to Company standards.

- Complies with and enforces Company standards, OSHA regulations, local codes, and federal and state laws.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and reports any unsafe conditions
- Performs other duties as assigned.
