High Sierra Pools Hosts Annual Employee Baseball Event
For some employees, this was the first time they had experienced an American baseball game in person. High Sierra recruits some lifeguards as part of the Summer Work and Travel Program. Administrated by the U.S. Department of State, this program provides foreign college and university students with an opportunity to live and work in the United States during their summer vacation to experience the people and way of life in the United States.
Representatives from two of the lifeguards’ Summer Work and Travel sponsor organizations, Janus International and The WISE Foundation, also joined us for the game.
